2. What was the "trilemma" the administration faced in 1965? How was it resolved?
3. How did political/military stability and efficiency (or the lack thereof) in South Vietnam contribute to US strategy and effectiveness in the region?
4. What were the "fateful decisions" that Johnson made in July of 1965? Were these decisions a deviation from past decision making or more of the same? Why?
5. Why was LBJ so hesitant to actually declare war? Was his manipulation of the American people justified given his perception of his job and responsibility?
